a new cross-medium branding strategy for a top Hawaiian tour company

This amazing project gave us a firsthand look at how our client is key to tourism across all of the Hawaiian islands.

Our tasks of branding, environmental, and website design were created in tandem. We developed a customer experience that presented an immersive displays of information design so that customers could get excited about making informed decisions when booking tours, airport shuttles or vacation packages.

The Island Guide provides in-depth information about the highlights of each island, serving as a graphical tool for tour planning.

With a rich display of imagery alongside historical and geographical information, the interactive guide is a fun reference about the islands in relation to the tours Roberts Hawaii offers. We mapped the tours onto the island guide map along with professional images taken by our team while traveling to all of the tour sites.

The web site initiative bridged all of the Roberts Hawaii individual corporate sites to be branded and accessible under one domain.

We created a meaningful and timeless brand, starting with the logo mark.

Roberts Hawaii Brand

Their former brand included a rabbit logo that had existed for over seventy-five years. The client knew the perception of their logo was effecting their ability to attract a potential worldy clientele.


Our solution was to create a more sophisticated brand out of the familiar associations that tourists make with the islands. We appropriated the Hibiscus flower into an iconic brand synonymous with Roberts Hawaii.

 

The tour busses celebrate the Hawaiian landscape while promoting their iconic brand.

The new logotype was first unveiled on busses in Waikiki. The busses can be seen across all of the islands shuttling tourists between hotels and attractions.
